Defeat Poverty DC is leading a 10-year campaign to cut in half the number of District residents living in poverty by ensuring that our city’s leaders enact policies that Make Work Possible, Make Work Pay, and Make Basic Needs Accessible.
Our campaign is led by a coalition of business, faith, and civic leaders who believe poverty and inequality undermine the strength and stability of our city’s businesses, neighborhoods, and families. To view a current list of our partners here.
Defeat Poverty DC works in collaboration with advocates, service providers, and District residents to build the support needed to implement targeted anti-poverty measures and support the safety net in the District.
