I endorse a goal of cutting poverty in the District in half over ten years and ask our elected officials to support policies and programs that will help us achieve this goal.

The District must make reducing poverty a priority and set benchmarks that will move our city toward a shared prosperity and a stronger economy. Through proven policy solutions, new ideas and the engagement of residents from across the District, we can cut poverty in half by 2022.
